STAR JOURNEY. STAR COMFORT. STAR STYLE.
Celebrate the proud history of Native Americans and Indigenous peoples in North America with the Nike Kyrie 6 N7. The raised haptic graphic is inspired by the gifts given by the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe to Kyrie during his naming ceremony and honors the vibrant patterns of certain Native artwork. Zoom Air cushioning adds unparalleled comfort while the mid-height collar with adjustable strap lets you personalize your fit.
Behind the Design
Honoring the generosity and respect inherent to Indigenous communities, the vibrant graphic on the upper celebrates Native artwork and nods to the quilts and medallions gifted to recipients during naming ceremonies.
Taking inspiration from the beaded medallions of certain Native Americans and Indigenous peoples, the haptic graphic creates a 3 dimensional effect that adds depth and texture. Created by hand, these medallions are received with a great deal of respect for the amount of time and energy it takes to create them.
The star design pays tribute to Kyrie’s personal journey to reconnect with his indigenous roots and represents the long history of Lakota star quilts.
Originally designed for performance hoops, the Nike Air Zoom Turbo unit brings hardwood comfort to the streets.
The lightweight foam midsole is soft, supportive, and adds spring to your step.
An adjustable strap crosses over the laces, letting you mix up how you wear your sneakers while adding stability.
The mid-height, padded collar feels great and adds hoops DNA.
Rubber outsole with multi-angle blade pattern is designed for traction and durability. It extends up the sidewall for added staying power.
Branding lets you know this is N7 certified, and that Nike is committed to getting youth in Native American and Indigenous communities in North America moving so they can lead healthier, happier and more successful lives.
